1) Your Initial Consultation​​​

A thorough skin consultation at our Caterham clinic is essential. During this appointment, a comprehensive medical assessment will be conducted along with a complimentary facial analysis using the Observ 520x when treatments are for the face (normally at a cost of £50.) A laser patch test is required at least 24 hours before laser treatment.
This initial step is crucial in your skin journey, Sally is passionate about achieving the best results and will assess your skin to devise a treatment plan. Additionally, the consultation offers an opportunity to understand your needs, answer any questions, and address any concerns you may have,​​​​​​
2) Your Treatment

Frequently Asked Laser Questions
WHAT IS LASER? This is a light energy based treatment used to address various dermatological concerns. These procedures can be used to improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles, remove blemishes and treat scars.
WHAT SKIN CONDITIONS DOES IT TREAT? Sally treats a variety of skin conditions with laser, such as acne, scarring, rosacea, pigmentation/ dark spots/ sun damage, broken blood vessels, cherry angiomas. Laser can also be used for rejuvenation and anti-aging purposes due to its collagen boosting, it reduces redness and inflammation.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE TREATMENT? A patch test is required before your treatment. This is to ensure your safety with your treatment. It is important to avoid using active ingredients in your skincare products 3-5 days in advance of your treatment. Please avoid the sun and self tanning products 4 weeks either side of treatment. If appropriate please clean shave the day of your appointment.
IS A PATCH TEST REQUIRED? Yes a patch test is required at least 24 hours before treatment. This is to ensure your safety of the treatment whilst being able to achieve optimal results.
HOW DOES IT WORK? The term laser stands for 'Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation'. The light waves focus to very fine points or stay narrow over a long distance, making them useful in various applications. Sally uses a non ablative laser to target the the skin's layers beneath the skin's surface. They stimulate collagen production, coagulate blood vessels and reduce inflammation with minimal downtime.
WHAT IS THE LASER PROCEDURE LIKE? Non-ablative lasers are gentle and comfortable. Numbing is not required before treatment. Laser treatment feel warm and depending on the laser treatment being performed may feel like an elastic band pinging on your skin.
HOW MANY LASER TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? Patients typically require 3-4 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart. This depends on the skin condition and results you would like to achieve. To achieve optimal results Sally strongly recommends a combination approach with home-care and in clinic treatments. Maintenance treatments may be required.
HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT LAST? Results vary based on the individual. To maintain results, maintenance treatments may be required and Sally strongly recommends home care.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY PROCEDURE? After the treatment, an ointment will be applied to the skin. Downtime is not associated with these treatments, however if you experience any minor redness or swelling, this will normally subside within 12-24 hours. After the treatment, you can expect to return to normal activities immediately.
CAN I GO OUT IN THE SUN? Sun protection is necessary following laser treatment and it is recommended to apply regular SPF and wear hats in the warm weather. Direct sun light must be avoided and treatment will not be able to be carried out if there is exposure to direct sun 4 weeks either side of your treatment.
